GOAL

Family Law Group decided they would need to establish a consistent structure to their IT landscape. Their operations were supported by another IT provider, who worked alongside Family Law Group’s internal IT resource. However, the support package wasn’t fully flexible to the firm’s needs and the internal resource had alternated personnel.
As a result, they needed to:
•    Establish a long-term internal IT resource.
•    Utilise a new external IT solutions provider.
•    Find a flexible solution that fitted within their allocated budget.
By achieving these goals, the Family Law Group would be able continue to provide a high-level service and the amazing work they do, especially the impactful work that is heavily involved in legal aid.


SOLUTION

To address the goals of Family Law Group, T-Tech worked closely with the firm to understand their full needs and how to best address these with a solution that was in alignment with the budget.

The cornerstone of the solution was the IT Assist service. This approach ensured that an internal IT resource, who was not a part of T-Tech, would be present at Family Law Group’s office to handle day-to-day IT operations. This internal resource, managed operations and laptop rollouts, providing a familiar and accessible point of contact for staff.

For more complex issues that could not be resolved internally, T-Tech provided robust 3rd line support. This external support ensured that any escalated issues were promptly addressed by T-Tech’s 3rd line engineers. Additionally, the IT Assist service guaranteed that if the internal resource was away due to sickness or holidays, T-Tech could seamlessly step in to resolve any IT issues, regardless of the level of support required.


OUTCOME

T-Tech’s IT Assist hybrid approach provided Family Law Group with a seamless, cost effective, and efficient IT support solution, that combined the strengths of internal familiarity and external technical expertise. This meant the law firm:

•  Created job opportunities and internal promotion paths within the firm, which can aid in future staff retention. Employees had another avenue for career growth with an internal IT resource being required, which helped in maintaining a motivated and happy workforce.

•  Continued to provide stability and consistency around their IT and operations. Employees had a familiar face who they could turn to daily, and the firm had a designated resource who could focus on the operational bigger picture.
